Your Sunday Morning Baker

Hey! I'm Lauren - baker and pizza lover extraordinaire.

 

When I was laid off from my corporate job of twelve years, I felt like my world had been turned upside down. I had no idea what to do with myself, so I began to do the thing that always grounded me: I baked. And I kept baking and trying new recipes and using my friends and family as my taste-testers (poor things) until eventually I felt I had a wonderful collection of pastries that I wanted to use to launch a business.

The name Sunday Morning Baking came to me because I believe Sunday mornings are the best time of the week: whether you choose to sleep, to brunch, to worship, to exercise (please no), I believe that these mornings are a time to do what feeds your soul. And for me, that is being in my kitchen with fresh coffee and a counter full of flour, sugar, eggs and butter, and coming up with new ways to delight those I love.
